Hi there! I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronic Engineering at National Taipei University of Technology.

I spend most of my time convincing computers to solve Maxwell’s equations — and occasionally convincing students that Maxwell’s equations are worth solving. My research interests include:

  • Computational electromagnetics (FDTD, PSTD, MoM, FEM)
  • High-frequency asymptotic techniques (UTD)
  • Antenna measurement theory and near-to-far-field transformation
  • Light scattering and propagation in random media

When I’m not chasing electromagnetic waves, I write open-source scientific software in Julia. I also wrote a book on electromagnetic theory (NTU Press, 2026) — partly because I love the subject, and partly because my students needed something to read besides my handwriting.

Feel free to reach out via email if you have questions, want to collaborate, or just want to argue about which numerical method is best.
